Extensive mineral sands with 5 granted (1,268 km2) licenses, 2 additional licenses in application covering a further 992 km2.
Stable regulatory and political environment; highly qualified workforce.
Undertaking mineral exploration for heavy mineral sands, predominantly rutile, zircon and related minerals.
Licenses in Cameroon with a stable operating environment and sound economy.
Having secured five permits and completed preliminary exploration, BWAR will now develop these into Mineral Resources and Preliminary Economic Assessment.
BWA Group Plc is a minerals exploration investment company, which has seven mineral exploration licenses in Canada and Cameroon at various stages of development from grass roots to advanced exploration, and is quoted on London's AQSE Growth Market (formerly NEX) with ticker BWAP.
In September 2019 BWA acquired the entire share capital of Kings of the North Corp, a company incorporated in Canada for a total of £4.66M, which owns a number of, principally gold, mining licenses in Quebec and Ontario.

The Nkoteng 1 Licenses covers an area of 343 km2 and the contiguous Nkoteng 2 Licenses covers an area of 494 km2. They are located some 60 kilometres to the north of the capital, Yaoundé, on the Sanaga River, in an area accessible via a sealed road; the interstate Cameroonian Railway runs alongside .
Basement geology considered favourable for heavy mineral sand deposit development Encouraging level of grade and extent of all the target minerals and From pit and auger inspection: Potential exists for increased thicknesses of the prospective sand and gravel units than those encountered to date. Samples analysed show significant grades of titanium oxide (rutile- ilmenite), zirconium (zircon) and aluminium oxide (kyanite)
In 2020 and 2021, BWAR LTD has completed work in Nkoteng 1 and Dehane 1
Dehane 2 is a mineral exploration licence N0 686 for Rutile, ilmenite, Kyanite Zircon and related minerals, awarded in 2022 to BWAR Camerooon by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development of Cameroon.
It is located in the Edea 1, Fifindi and kribi 2 districts of both Sanaga Maritime and Ocean Departments, Littoral region, Cameroon. It covers a surface area of 54 km2
First phase exploration work was conducted in December 2023, much more along the Kribi sea beach starting from Londji, Eboudavae, Djamanmonim, Lekoundje through to Idolo vilages within the licence. Prior to this work, a site visit with team members was conducted couple of months earlier. See picture 1 below.
A total of Nineteen (19) boreholes were performed with continuous sampling at approximately every km down to an average depth of 5 m using a track drill and 3m using hammer auger. Ninety-One (91) samples were collected starting from Londji, Eboudavae, Djamanmonim, Lekoundje and Idolo villages within the DEHANE 2 licence.
Selected samples were exported to South Africa for testing which is currently in progress awaiting results.

Iron ore is integral to the steel-making process and one of the most sought after commodities in the world.
A naturally occurring metallic element, Nickel is a key ingredient in stainless steel, and major component in the lithium-ion batteries that power electric vehicles.
Australia’s two largest iron ore producers and its biggest steelmaker have partnered in their efforts to accelerate the decarbonisation of steelmaking by agreeing to jointly investigate the development of the country’s first ironmaking electric smelting furnace (ESF) pilot plant. Under a new framework agreement, Rio Tinto, BHP and BlueScope will consolidate the work each party has completed to date, leveraging both BHP’s and Rio Tinto’s deep knowledge of Pilbara iron ores with BlueScope’s unique operating experience in ESF technology. The collaboration provides a platform to develop and potentially invest in a pilot facility and aims to demonstrate that production of molten iron from Pilbara ores is feasible using renewable power when combined with Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) process technology. If successful, it could help open a potential pathway to near-zero greenhouse gas emission-intensity operations for steelmakers that rely on Australian iron ore to meet global steel demand.

Wayan Rahayudha is always smiling – just ask his teammates. But this week he has an extra big grin, having been awarded Driller of the Year by the International Society of Explosives Engineers. Nominated for the prestigious award by his team at South Flank for his drilling skills and experience, dedication to safety, rock solid work ethic, and infectious positive attitude to life, Wayan was surprised to hear that he had won the Australasian chapter category. “It’s a real honour, especially as I didn’t even know I had been nominated,” he says. “I’m lucky to be part of the South Flank family, my crew is great, really supportive, and we’re all learning, so we all help each other.”
