Where we work
In 2020 and 2021, BWAR LTD has completed work in Nkoteng 1 and Dehane 1
- Pre-exploration work, including, licenses Boundary Marking, ESIA outline plan.
- Desktop Data Review, Satellite Image Interpretation, Field Mapping and Target Area Identification.
- Continual Village, Community, Stakeholders and Ministry meetings to establish open and good relations and communication channels.
- Reconnaissance Pit Sampling Program, followed by Auger geochemical sampling and logging, with selected sample mineral separation testwork, and selected sample quantitative mineralogy.
- XRD Analysis of Samples.
- Independent JORC 2012 Competent Persons Technical Report (CPR).
- Completion of 1st pass mechanised auger programme to systematically test area of interest around high-grade pits.
- Testwork showed >80% recovery of heavy minerals by gravity, DMS, and magnetic separation in sand samples.
Dehane 2 is a mineral exploration licence N0 686 for Rutile, ilmenite, Kyanite Zircon and related minerals, awarded in 2022 to BWAR Camerooon by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development of Cameroon.
It is located in the Edea 1, Fifindi and kribi 2 districts of both Sanaga Maritime and Ocean Departments, Littoral region, Cameroon. It covers a surface area of 54 km2
First phase exploration work was conducted in December 2023, much more along the Kribi sea beach starting from Londji, Eboudavae, Djamanmonim, Lekoundje through to Idolo vilages within the licence. Prior to this work, a site visit with team members was conducted couple of months earlier. See picture 1 below.
A total of Nineteen (19) boreholes were performed with continuous sampling at approximately every km down to an average depth of 5 m using a track drill and 3m using hammer auger. Ninety-One (91) samples were collected starting from Londji, Eboudavae, Djamanmonim, Lekoundje and Idolo villages within the DEHANE 2 licence.
Selected samples were exported to South Africa for testing which is currently in progress awaiting results.
